TEES 'ANOTHER WORLD'
SHORT FILM COMPETITION
This year's festival sees the introduction of a short film
competition for young filmmakers. Organised by the Rio Cinema
and Balik Arts, the theme of the competition is 'Another World'.
For the organisers, the theme means looking for social and
individual alternatives. Films could be in any format and
no longer than 20 minutes. There will be a single prize of
£1,500 donated by TEES for the best fiction film. The
jury will consist of young people aged 16-24 who participated
in the Balik Arts Turkish Film Festival Audience Development
project during recent weeks. The winner will be announced
at the start of the Closing Gala on Sun 12 Dec and the winning
film will be shown before UNDER CONSTRUCTION. All the films
are in English or have English subtitles except where stated.
