We are delighted to be able to present four free screenings for schools as part of National Schools Film Week:

For primary schools:

Thur 19 Oct - OVER THE HEDGE (U)

For secondary schools:
Tue 17 Oct - THE ROSA PARKS PARKS STORY (PG) + discussion presented by BFM
Wed 18 Oct - THE ROAD TO GUANTANAMO (15)

October Half Term Activities at the Rio

Do you live in Hackney?

Come along to the Rio and take part in a creative workshop!

ANIMATION WORKSHOP with ICT Links

Ages 7-11: Wed 25 Oct 10am - 4.30pm
Ages 12-15: Thur 26 Oct 10am - 4.30pm

ICT links help you make your own short animated film in one day! Film your characters, make the soundtrack and use computers to put together the film. You'll also receive a DVD of your finished animation.

£8/£4 concs*
(*Concessions price applies if parent is Unwaged, on Income Support, Housing Benefit or a student)

The London Children's Film Festival brings eight fun-filled days of films for children of all ages, plus activities. See the 'Children's Films' page for Rio film programme.

Make a Film in a Day Workshop Sat 25 Nov
9.30am-6pm

Come along and make an entire film in one day with Film Fantastic! Plan, shoot and edit a short film. For 12-16 year olds, living in London boroughs only.

£20/£10 Concs per participant.

A collection of short films designed to promote literacy
